And so this is Christmas...

Well the time has come for me to close up shop and take a break from creating to spend some precious time with my family and friends over the Christmas holidays.

This year has really flown by so quickly. Behind my business there is 4 very special people in my life. My three children who inspire me everyday. My first born is now 7 and is really growing up to be such a lovely little girl. She has done really well in school this year and received an award for her achievements. I'm so proud of her. Then there is my little boy who is now 5 and graduated from preschool recently. He is very ready for big school next year. He has his backpack, school hat and uniform all ready to go. He has a great buddy in year 6 that he really loves so I have no doubt next year will be a great experience for him. Then we have my baby girl who is almost 2. Well isn't she a little firecracker! She might only be 2 but she definitely knows what she wants in life and usually gets it too! Last but certainly not least is my amazing and very supportive husband. He has always been there to support my business and ideas. Quite often I think I probably bore him to tears talking about ribbon and clay all the time! He's often seen at my markets helping out with my stall display or serving my customers. I'm really looking forward to next year just having one child at home. I'm looking forward to the quiet, not as much mess and having more time to get busy in the studio.

This year has been amazing for Chantilly Bowtique and I have you, my customers to thank for that. Some of you have been around from the beginning, over 5 years ago! Where on earth has the time gone? Some are new customers and some of my fans may have only just discovered me recently. I thank you all.

From my family to yours, I wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas with your families and friends and hope to see you all next year for another great year of Chantilly Bowtique!

Warm wishes, Chantelle xxx

Had a great day at the show...

Well the Easter long weekend has come to an end and we have some fabulous memories of a great Easter. The kids woke up at the crack of dawn on Easter morning and found that the Easter bunny looked to have tripped over in his slumber dropping Easter Eggs all of the house! An Easter egg hunt was the only answer and the kids had a ball.

We all went to the Easter Show yesterday and had a fantastic time. We headed straight to the animal nursery and fed some lambs and goats. There were lots of little ones and plenty of big ones too which freaked my kids right out! We saw Postman Pat perform for a little while until Luke said 'I don't like it', so we moved on lol!

The kids wanted their faces painted. Of course Holly wanted to look beautiful and Luke wanted to be a tiger. As soon as he was done he immediately transformed into a tiger and was running around 'Raaaaahhhing everyone and Holly was flying along ever so gracefully with her butterfly-ness. After a few fun filled rides, it started to rain so we thought we'd head home.
I hope you all had a great Easter too!

So proud of my DH

Well I must say, I really am a proud wife at the moment. My husband has always impressed me with his many talents. He has always been right in to music and he loves to play it loud! We all usually sit in his 'boys room' which kind of respresents a home based nightclub! Complete with laser lights, strobes, a smoke machine and of course my little contribution - my disco ball!

Anyway, he recently went to DJ school and learned how to mix music and as it turns out he has become quite the DJ.

My aunty had her 50th birthday party on the weekend and he was asked to DJ and he just did the most amazing job! Everyone danced all night and the music was sensational. It was a really good mix of golden oldies from the 70s, 80s and 90s. A great night was had by all and now we cannot wait to do it all again!

Well done Pete!
